Submission Guidelines for Authors

The International Review of Social Research welcomes original research contributions from scholars and practitioners across the social sciences. This guide provides essential information for preparing and submitting manuscripts.

Manuscript Requirements

Format and Length

  • Manuscripts should be between 6,000 and 10,000 words, including references
  • Use standard 12-point font (Times New Roman or similar)
  • Double-spaced throughout with 1-inch margins
  • Include an abstract of 150-250 words
  • Provide 5-7 keywords for indexing purposes

Structure

Research articles should typically follow this structure:

  1. Introduction — Research context, objectives, and significance
  2. Literature Review — Theoretical framework and existing research
  3. Methodology — Research design, data collection, and analysis methods
  4. Results/Findings — Presentation of research outcomes
  5. Discussion — Interpretation and implications
  6. Conclusion — Summary and future directions
  7. References — Complete bibliography in APA 7th edition

Citation Style

IRSR follows the APA 7th Edition citation format. All in-text citations must have corresponding entries in the reference list, and vice versa.

Ethical Guidelines

All submissions must comply with established research ethics standards. Authors are expected to declare any conflicts of interest, ensure informed consent from research participants, and maintain data integrity throughout the research process.

Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically. Authors will receive an acknowledgement of receipt within 48 hours. The editorial team will conduct an initial screening before sending the manuscript for peer review.
