The International Review of Social Research invites submissions of original research articles, review articles, and theoretical essays from scholars working across the social sciences.
Before You Submit
Please ensure your manuscript meets the following requirements:
- The work is original and has not been published elsewhere
- The manuscript is not under review with another journal
- All co-authors have approved the final version
- The manuscript follows our Author Guidelines
- References are in APA 7th edition format
What We Publish
- Research Articles — Original empirical studies (6,000-10,000 words)
- Review Articles — Comprehensive literature reviews (8,000-12,000 words)
- Theoretical Essays — Novel theoretical frameworks (5,000-8,000 words)
- Research Notes — Shorter empirical contributions (3,000-5,000 words)
Review Timeline
We aim to provide authors with an initial decision within 8-12 weeks of submission. The peer review process involves double-blind evaluation by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field.
